# The Farmland Atlas

The Farmland Atlas is an interactive world map that scores every location on Earth
for long-term farming and living viability under climate change. It reads through
three lenses:

- **Land** — hard biophysical data: climate, soil, water and terrain.
- **Institutions** — country-, region- and city-specific human governance,
  institutions and access.
- **Everything** — the two combined, for an all-in view of where land is genuinely
  worth holding for the long term.

Every place is scored objectively for **2050, 2070 and 2100**, each under **four
global-warming scenarios**. For land buyers and people moving to the countryside,
it surfaces where you can build a generational place. For existing landowners, it
shows how your location holds up — or shifts — over time.
